Τhe website «www.simosviolaris.cy» is an online shop that is created and operated by Simos Violaris & Sons Ltd, located in Larnaca, Agion Anargiron 48 and phone line 24252021. The following terms and conditions will apply to the use of the shop with the brand SIMOS VIOLARIS located online at www.simosviolaris.cy. Each user who enters and transacts or use the services of the shop deemed consents and accepts the following conditions bellow, without exception. If someone does not agree to these terms, then must the responsibility to refrain from visiting, using the site as well as from any transaction or use of the services of the shop.

General Terms

We reserve the right to amend or revise freely the terms and conditions of use and transactions from our online shop, whenever it deems it necessary, it undertakes to inform consumers of any change in the pages of this online shop.

Information and Products

We are committed to accuracy, truth and completeness of the information listed in the online shop, regarding the identity of the Company and the services provided through the online shop, transactions. In good faith, we are not responsible and not bound by electronic data entries made in error / mistake in the common experience and shall be entitled to correct these whenever perceive their existence.

Liability Limitation

In the process of operating the online shop we are not to be held responsible and is not under any liability for any damage or injury resulting from the cancellation of orders, failure to perform or delay of their execution for any reason. We inform the customer concerned, based on its records, of the availability or otherwise of the products exhibited in the online shop and takes care in case of changes of these factors influencing availability, and the time inform customers about the unavailability of products, and it has no further responsibility. The online shop provides the content (e.g. information, names, photos, and illustrations), products and services available through the website "as is". In no case we will be held civilly or criminally liable for any damage which might be suffered visiting the online shop by customers or third parties related to the operation or not and / or use of the website and / or inability to provide services or / and products and / or information available from this and / or any unauthorized third party interventions to products and / or services and / or information available through it.


The entire contents of the online shop, including the trade names, trademarks, images, graphics, photographs, drawings, texts etc., they are the intellectual property of Simos Violaris and are protected by the relevant provisions of Cypriot law, European law and international conventions. Any copying, transfer or creation of derivative works based on such content, or misleading the public about the real provider of the shop.

Price policy

We reserve the right to change prices without prior notice to the customer.  

Product Guarantees 

All products are durable and certified for safe operation. The products shall be accompanied by written instructions and warranty for reasonable duration, in accordance with European legislation and are covered by warranty either by the Company or by the official representative in Cyprus, either from the official representative within the territory of the European Union. We offer a limited 2-year warranty to the purchaser of the product. The limited warranty is valid from the date that the customer purchased the product. In case of replacement of the product, the warranty period will continue for the remaining period Excluded are cases where the official dealer offers a guarantee of good operation beyond 2 years eg 5 years or an motor guarantee eg 10 years. In any case, the guarantee is indicated on the product card.

The product warranty is valid, provided that the following conditions are met:

  1. The limited warranty shall be valid only if the client presents the original product purchase receipt (invoice) and delivers the product to the shop.
  2. During the period of validity of the guarantee, the company repairs or makes a free replacement of the defective product at its discretion. The company will return the repaired product or another product to the buyer in working condition. In case of repair of the product, will exchange the defective part or spare part. It should be noted that the term ' parts ' or ' spare parts ' means all parts of the product.

The warranty does not apply in the following cases:

  1. The warranty is not valid in cases of physical damage.
  2. The defect was caused because the product has been subject to use in a manner not conforming to the instructions of the manufacturer, abuse, if it was exposed to humidity or extreme hot or environmental conditions, or sudden changes in such conditions, corrosion, rusting, non-authorized modifications or connections, non-authorized opening or repair, repair with the use of non-authorized spare parts, misuse, unsuitable installation, accident, natural phenomena, which are beyond the reasonable control of us (including for instance defects in the department of consumable parts such as batteries, which as a rule have a limited life) unless the defect was caused directly because of the use of defective materials, designs or workmanship.
  3. The customer has not notified us about the defect within sixty (60) days after the occurrence of a defect during the warranty period.
  4. The product is not returned to us within sixty (60) days after the occurrence of a defect during the warranty period.
  5. The product serial number, the identifying date code, or the IMEI number, have been removed, deleted, defaced or altered or are illegible.
  6. The defect was created due to the fact that the product was used or connected with accessory that is not appropriate to the technical characteristics of the product.
  7. The defect was caused by a defective network operation.
  8. The product has not been checked by our technical department  to establish and verify the defect of the appliance.
  9. This limited warranty is the sole and exclusive means for customer satisfaction according to Simos Violaris and the sole and exclusive liability of Simos Violaris against the client for defects or malfunction of the product. This limited warranty substitutes all other guarantees and obligations, either verbal, written (non-mandatory) by law, conventional, malfeasance or others. Simos Violaris will not, under any circumstances, be liable for direct damage, costs or expenses, if the client is a legal person.
  10. If the customer does not collect the items he/she has brought in for repair within six months, then the company shall not be liable for their safe keeping.
  11. All consumables or components of a product (for instance chargers, batteries, headphones, feed-gear, inks etc) are covered by a warranty for good function under terms referred to thirdparagraph, for a period not exceeding three months.
  12. The warranty is valid for products that have been sold by Simos Violaris. In case of a defective product, it is customer's obligation to deliver the product to our shop (excluding big household appliances where the technician's visit is required, e.g. washing machines, fridges, cookers etc). It should be noted that in the event that the buyer sent the product to the shop via courier, shipping costs are charged to the buyer.
  13. All products are covered by warranty either by the Company or by its official representative in Cyprus or by its official representative in the European Union territory.
  14. The company guarantees that all products, at the time of their original purchase, are free from defects in workmanship, materials, design and human work, under the above terms and conditions.

Shipping Methods

Users of our shop can be informed about the cost of shipping or installation of their order from the "Delivery Method" tool, which appears as soon as an item is added to their "basket", by entering the ZIP code. of the area to which they wish the shipment to be made. In case you wish to collect your order from our shop, there is no additional charge. For your convenience and service, we offer the following methods of shipping products:

  1. Pick up from shop
  2. Delivery and collection by AkisExpress
    Choose one of the 100+ AkisExpress points in all cities to pick up your order. For purchases up to 30Kg the cost  is €5, while for purchases over 30Kg the cost is €10.
  3. Delivery and collection at your place
    The service is valid for areas within ZONES A & B. For purchases up to 30Kg the cost is €8. For purchases over 30Kg the cost is €10 for the provinces of Larnaca, Nicosia & Famagusta, €15 for the province of Limassol and €25 for the province of Pafos. For remote areas the cost is €70. 

In case of products with large volume (such as washing machines, refrigerators, cookers, etc.), these items are transferred to the ground floor of the address indicated by the customer. If the customer wishes to transfer the product to another floor, then the customer will be charged the cost of transportation. Clarified that for any damage caused to the product during transportation from the ground floor to the first floor, we are not responsible, as the risk passes to the customer, from the moment the product is delivered on the ground floor of the address designated by the customer. The delivery of the product must be requested by the customer, either by our shop for the direct delivery of this at the address indicated by the customer.

Shipping Times

For each product we list its availability in 3 ways, if it is immediately available in our warehouses or the shop as ''In stock and immediately available'', if it is in the warehouses of the local supplier as ''Available at short notice'' and if it is not immediately available in us or the supplier as ''Ordered on demand''. In each case the estimated time delivery are:

  1. In stock and immediately available, 1-3 workind days
  2. Available at short notice, 2-5 workind days
  3. Ordered on demand, depending on the delivery time of the product from the supplier, in this case the customer is informed by the shop about the estimated delivery time

Please note that delivery times may vary during holiday, holiday or promotional periods. We are not responsible for delays in the execution of the order, including the delivery, due to circumstances not attributable to the fault or due to force majeure (strikes, natural disasters, problems with suppliers, governmental or legislative acts that change trade arrangements) and shall be entitled, where appropriate, an extension of time for execution.

Product Installation 

General Terms

  1. Installation does not include construction, plumbing, carpentry, electrical work and/or painting. The installation must be in full compliance with the manufacturer's instructions and dimensions and must not be further than one meter from a manned electrical supply point (i.e. wired in a closed box and joint).
  2. Installation of the products can only be performed after the final inspection and approval by the EAC and is an important and essential element before the installation of any products in the given delivery areas. Otherwise, the customer takes full responsibility for possible damages that may occur to the products during the electrical control process (high voltage, etc.).
  3. Transfer from floor to floor is not included. If you want us to transport the product by stairs you should inform the company before delivery so that we can arrange the extra cost. Does not apply to refrigerators larger than 60x186. In case a forklift is required, the cost is borne by the customer.
  4. Possible balance, payable upon delivery and installation of goods

Televisions: Unpacking, Placement & Connection where indicated, Channel tuning (assumes proper antenna operation), Connection to corresponding Audio & Video products in corresponding sockets (provides for customer supply of cables), Demonstration of basic functions, Remove and recycle the appliance - One Visit.

Cancellation Policy

We give you the option to cancel your order in the following ways:

  1. In case you have chosen to pick up your order from our shop or to be delivered and installed by us, you can cancel your order at any time up to 2 working days, after the order confirmation date, by calling us during working hours.
  2. In case you have chosen the Home Delivery or the Pick-up from AkisExpress office, you can cancel your order at any time before the product is handed to the delivery service. After the dispatch of the product, your order status will automatically update and you will no longer be able to cancel your order. Youcan of course, return the product you bought following our Returns Policy.

Returns Policy 

Consumers have the option of returning all products within 7 days of delivery, for purchases from our physical shop and within 14 days from the day of the withdrawal request, for purchases from our online shop, as long as they meet the control criteria of our technical department. For purchases through our online shop, the withdrawal request must be sent within 14 working days from the date of receipt or delivery of the product.

The consumer is entitled to carefully open the package and handle the product to the extent necessary to ascertain the nature of the product's characteristics and function, as it would be possible to do in one of our physical shop. However, if during the inspection, it is found that the product is not in the condition it was in when it was purchased, or the product has been used by the customer to a point beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and operation of the product, then the the consumer is responsible for any reduction in the value of the product and we have the right to charge 15% of the product's value. In addition, in cases where the customer is responsible for the destruction of the product or its packaging, or the accessories, then the company may not return money to the consumer, nor accept the return or change of the product.

No refunds or exchanges are made in the following cases 

  1. Delivery and/or installation charges, battered or damaged products, used products such as washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, ovens, hobs, microwaves, small household appliances. 
  2. Changes are not made for products manufactured to the specifications of the consumer and/or personalized products, for products that may deteriorate or expire soon, for products that are sold sealed and which are not suitable for return for reasons of protection of health or hygiene reasons, and which have been unsealed, for products which, due to their nature, are inseparably mixed with other elements. 
  3. No returns are made on sales of products for which the buyer places a special order.

Return policy for online purchases

Upon delivery, the customer is obliged to unpack and check the product to confirm the absence of external, aesthetic defects, and in the event that there are any, he is entitled to cancel the receipt and return it to the distributor announcing the existence of aesthetic defects within fourteen (14) calendar days from receipt. In the event of the expiry of this period, all relevant rights are lost and it is considered that the cosmetic defect was caused after delivery. In case of a timely declaration, we are obliged to replace this item with another, without the external aesthetic defect, in a short time. In case of unconditional delivery of the item, it is considered that it was delivered in excellent external condition without aesthetic defects.

Right of withdrawal

The consumer reserves the right of withdrawal in the following cases:

  1. From the day of submission of the customer's order up to fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of conclusion of the service contract (in the case of such a contract), or from the delivery (in the case of products).
  2. This withdrawal is without justification and without any charge for the customer and if the item has already been delivered, the customer must return the product unused, exactly in the condition in which he received it, with all of its components, the forms that accompany it and of its packaging in excellent condition. Withdrawal is not understood in case the customer has used or activated the item even once, in which case the product is now considered used.
  3. The declaration of withdrawal is made in writing or electronically and we are obliged to send confirmation of receipt of the declaration of withdrawal as soon as it receives it. Following the declaration of withdrawal, we are obliged to return the price collected.
  4. The refund to the customer will be made in the same way as the purchase was made by the customer and within fourteen (14) working days from receipt of the product.
  5. Delivery or installation costs are not refunded unless the customer had chosen a delivery method other than the cheapest standard delivery method offered by our shop.
  6. We are entitled to reject the declaration of withdrawal if the item is not offered for return legally and properly, i.e. in the condition it was delivered and not used. The customer, if we, at its discretion and by way of derogation, accepts the return of a used item in view of withdrawal, is responsible for compensating us for the reasonable reduction in the value of the item due to its use. We are entitled to agree with the customer its compensation even with mutual netting. In the event that the withdrawal concerns the provision of services, the customer must pay an amount proportional to what was provided up to the declaration of withdrawal. If the consumer exercises the right of withdrawal any associated contracts expire automatically, at no cost to the customer.

Exceptions to withdrawal

The right of withdrawal is not granted in the following cases:

  1. In cases where the price has been paid at our physical shop and the products have been received from our physical shop as the sale is not from a distance i.e. it is not electronic.
  2. In cases where the products have been used (installation, operating position, product registration, installation of accessories).
  3. In the case of video & audio products, software that have been unsealed from their packaging.
  4. In cases where the products are not suitable for return after being unsealed for hygiene reasons shavers-epilators, electric toothbrushes, cooking utensils, etc.).
  5. In the case of digital material, if the execution of the application has started with the consent of the customer and his information, that he loses the right of withdrawal.
  6. In cases of provision of services (placement, connection, coordination, etc.) as after the provision of services, the right of withdrawal is lost.
  7. In the case of products that are returned without packaging or damaged packaging.
  8. In cases where the products are intended for professional activity.

Returns of products at the charge of our shop

  1. In all cases in which other than those sold are delivered, by type or quantity.
  2. In the event that during delivery the item has a damaged package, completely or in most of it. In the case of damaged packaging, the customer has the right not to accept the receipt of the product from the beginning and to request its replacement, after consultation with us.
  3. In case it is found that the item has a manufacturing defect (provided this is confirmed by the authorized technician who provides the guarantee of good operation) or a lack of quality, which quality has previously been agreed in writing with us.
  4. In cases of return at the company's charge, the products must be returned in the condition received by the customer and at the agreed time. Any delay on the part of the customer is justified only for reasons of force majeure, otherwise the right to replacement based on this condition is lost.
  5. In all cases, the return of the product to be replaced should be made together with all the documents that accompanied the product (e.g. Purchase Invoice, Receipt of Receipt, etc.) and its complete packaging (unless it is a defect found later after delivery and the packaging is not present or also except in the case of a product whose packaging was received by the distributors when the item was delivered).
  6. When returning the products, in case of a manufacturing defect or lack of a property agreed in writing and depending on the case, a repair or replacement will be carried out, otherwise the transaction will be canceled if the customer legally rejects the two previous ones, in which case, provided that they have before the products are received and checked by our shop, in case of cancellation, the money will be returned to the customer in the same way as the payment was made.
  7. In the event that the products are returned damaged or incomplete, we have the right to request compensation from the customer, the amount of which will be determined by the condition of the products and to proceed unilaterally and without others to a total or partial offset of his claim against the customer for the price received.

Returns of products deemed Defective on Arrival (DOA) at Company's expense

  1. In the event that a product is found to be defective upon arrival to the customer (hereinafter referred to as DOA), the return of such/them shall also be made at the expense of our shop.
  2. The return of the products, which are considered DOA will be accepted with a statement from the customer within ten (10) calendar days from their delivery to the customer. At the same time, the product must not be damaged or damaged due to the fault of the owner, beyond the diagnosed defect, and must have all the original documents that accompanied the product (e.g. Purchase Invoice, Receipt, etc.) all its accessories and its complete packaging.
  3. The establishment of the manufacturing defect is always done by a technical inspection of the product. In the case of white appliances (refrigerators, electric cookers, washing machines, etc.) and air conditioners, it is required that a visit by the technician of the authorized workshop of the supplier company and a written confirmation of the diagnosis of the appliance's damage has been made, so that it is considered that the product it was DOA.
  4. In case of return of the products (DOA), and provided that they have been previously received and checked our technical team, the item will be replaced with a similar product (condition and characteristics, etc.), otherwise in case the customer rejects according to the law the replacement, a refund will be made to the customer, in the way he paid the purchase price.
  5. The return will be made no later than within fourteen (14) working days of both the product and the price.
  6. If the customer has purchased a product that has been considered DOA, and has the right to return it at our expense, as specifically defined above, then he may return to us and the additional products of this type (for example, if a TV is deemed defective upon delivery, the customer has the option of returning the wall mount that was purchased with the TV).

Safe products - Warranty terms

The products made available by our shop are long-lasting products which carry all the necessary certification of safe operation. The products are accompanied by written instructions for use (except for easy-to-use products) and a written guarantee of good operation of a reasonable duration, in Greek and English, where this is required by law. The warranty form, if provided, always includes the name and address of the provider, the product to which the warranty refers its exact content, its duration, its local scope, as well as the rights provided by the applicable law. The warranty of the product has duration according to the manufacturer from the date of its purchase and allows the repair of the problem free of charge, as long as the following conditions are met:

  1. Have the invoice of purchase of the product.
  2. The fixed data of the product must not have been altered (Serial No.)
  3. Do not exclude damage based on the manufacturer's warranty form.
