Cooktops with a ventilation system, also known as hops with an integrated ventilation system, are essentially an electric cooktop and a hood in one device that is activated when the device is operating. They are suitable for islands or people who do not want a visible hood, however, they are slightly deeper than standard hobs and require more preparation before installation.

Gas hobs offer instant temperature control, quick heating and are ideal for high precision cooking. Also, they remain functional even in a power outage, while they have safety systems, such as automatic gas shut-off if the flame goes out.
